# Monitors tab

Find, filter and act on your monitors from the Monitors tab.

The Monitors tab lists every monitor you have access to, grouped into tabs by monitor category. It is where you check what is running, find the monitor behind a failure, and act on several monitors at once.

### What each row shows

| Column | What it tells you |
| ------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Monitor type | The check this monitor runs |
| Monitor name | The name you gave it |
| Asset | The table it watches. Custom SQL monitors show the data source |
| Schedule     | How often it runs, with the timezone, for example `Daily · 5:00PM GMT+8`                                                                                                   |
| Status       | `Active` or `Inactive`                                                                                                                                                     |
| Last result | <p>The outcome of the most recent run and when it ran, for example <code>Passed · 2h ago.</code><br>A monitor that has never run will show <code>Not Evaluated</code>.</p> |
| Attributes | The custom attributes set on the monitor |

Rows sort by the last result timestamp, most recent first.

### Filters

Filter by data source, schema, schedule, monitor status, last result outcome, custom attributes, and monitor type where the category offers more than one.

{% hint style="info" %}
Filters are also written into the URL, so you can bookmark a view or send it to a colleague.
{% endhint %}

### Act on several monitors at once

Select monitors with the row checkboxes to enable, disable, delete, or run them:

* **Enable and disable** apply only where they change something, so a monitor already in the target state stays as it is.
* **Run** applies to monitors on a manual schedule. The action shows a count of how many of your selection will actually run.
* **Delete** removes the monitors and everything attached to them, including run history, cases and incidents.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Deleting a monitor is permanent, and takes its run history, cases and incidents with it. Disable a monitor instead if you want to stop it running but keep the record.
{% endhint %}
