Connect to Microsoft Teams

Send incident alerts to channels on Microsoft Teams.

Connecting Microsoft Teams to decube allows your teams to receive incident alerts directly to a channel on Teams. With each incident alert, a URL is added for users to be taken directly to the Incident Detail page in decube.

Microsoft Teams: Add Workflows app

You can use the Workflows app available in Microsoft Teams to generate a webhook URL to send Decube incident alerts to.

  1. Go to the Workflows app. You can do this by hovering over the ellipsis menu of the Teams channel and selecting Workflows in the dropdown.

  1. Find the template option "Send webhook alerts to a channel". Click on this template.

  1. You can rename the template to "Decube Alerts". This allows you to search for the right template in the future in the Workflows app.

  1. Select which Team and Channel to add the Workflow to.

  1. You will then be presented with the Webhook URL to copy. Copy this URL to be used in the next section to add into Decube.

Decube: Add default channel in Config Settings

To add Microsoft Teams into your default alert channel for your entire organization, you can follow the below steps:

  1. Once you've created the webhook URL, you can then go to Config Settings in the My Account page and add the Webhook URL as in the below image.

Add your webhook in the MS Webhook URL field.
  1. You can add more MS Teams webhooks for different channels by clicking on Add another URL. This sends the same alerts to a separate Teams channel.

It is highly recommended that you create a separate channel for Decube alert notifications as multiple incoming webhooks from different tools into one channel may cause latency in delivering your alerts.
